Bolli Darlings dish up Wyatt James treats at Destination Dining launch

On the evening of Wednesday 14th July, thecentre:mk celebrated the launch of its new £10 million restaurant quarter ‘Destination Dining’ with an event for over 150 invited guests and stakeholders including special guest the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Debbie Brock. The party enjoyed a drinks and canapé reception, hosted by local bespoke caterer Wyatt James and Scribble events, from a plush white marquee with a purpose built bar, up-lit seating cubes and a vibrant pink floor situated in the newly developed Queens Court.

Guests were treated to a champagne reception and the release of 200 coloured balloons, an ‘around the world’ fashion show and extravagantly dressed Bolli Darlings offering Wyatt James savoury canapés from their own perspex trays attached to their attire!

Wyatt James had also provided bespoke catering for Destination Dining celebratory events which happened throughout the day for key local dignitaries and shoppers. This included a hot and cold bite sized breakfast and frothy cappuccinos by Illy caffe to retailers and trade guests.. At lunch, a three course circulated lunch was served with savory and sweet canapés and hot bowl food, followed by an afternoon tea incorporating a selection of miniature patisserie from restaurants in the new dining quarter.

The Destination Dining launch event was part of three days of events including cooking demonstrations from Celebrity Chefs John Torode and Lesley Waters.
